Neighborhood Watch Program

How to Ensure Neighborhood Watch Success

  • Leadership: The neighborhood watch chairperson and block captains should be active.
  • Communication: Stay informed about the issues in your neighborhood and share them with others. Social media may assist.
  • Commitment:  Commit to staying involved.
  • Desire: To make a difference in your neighborhood and improve neighborhood safety.

The Newnan Police Department is happy to meet with you and help organize a Neighborhood Watch Program.  We will provide tools to assist and ensure your Neighborhood Watch Program's success.

To schedule a meeting, email Sergeant Lee or call 770-254-2355.

Tips

  • The triangle tech: Know your neighbors in front, left, and right of your residence.
  • If someone is outside, by your car, use the car emergency alarm to scare them.
  • Place sensor lights on all corners of your house.
  • Keep hedges and shrubs trimmed.
  • Check all doors and windows before you go to bed.
  • Consider using apps that may promote neighborhood watch success.
