Group Insurance Program

Health, dental, and life insurance are offered for all full-time employees and their families.

The City provides $50,000 life insurance at no cost to the employee.

Optional Insurance Program

A variety of optional insurance coverage including short-term and long-term disability, supplemental and dependent life insurance and vision care are available at group rates.

Retirement Plan

Regular full-time employees are enrolled in the City’s 401a with a 10% City Contribution. 

Modified Vesting Schedule

0% immediately on Plan participation

33.33% after 1 Year of Service

66.66% after 2 Years of Service

100% after 3 Years of Service

Vacation Leave

Paid vacation leave is available following six months of employment. Employees earn vacation leave based upon their tenure with the City.

Sick Leave

All full-time employees earn ten days of paid sick leave each year.

Paid Holidays

The City celebrates the following holidays as paid time off for full-time employees:

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday (3rd Monday in January)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • Floating Holiday (as determined by the City Manager)

Credit Union Membership

City employees are eligible to become members of the Coweta Cities and County Credit Union.
