The Office of Communications connects the media and citizens of Newnan to the city government. We handle all media inquiries, the city website, all city social media platforms, stream the city council meetings, and manage all filming requests. We also hold a yearly Newnan Citizens Academy for citizens who want to learn more about their local government.

Aimee B. Hadden serves as the Communications Manager for the City of Newnan. She previously served in state government in the Office of the Governor and in various roles at the Georgia Supreme Court and has a BA in Criminal Justice. Ms. Hadden and her family have called Newnan home since 2013. She enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Originally from Homer/Cortland, NY, Anthony Urda attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam. After earning his B.A. in Theatre, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Homer and McGraw, NY school districts before moving to the state of Georgia in 2018. Pursuing his passion for film and the stage, he worked as a background actor for several film and television productions around the greater Atlanta, GA area. He has worked in such film and television productions as: AMC's The Walking Dead, Jumanji: The Next Level, DC's Stargirl, DC's Doom Patrol, Watchmen, Marvel's WandaVision, Netflix's Teenage Bounty Hunters, Fox TV's Star, Netflix's Cobra Kai, CBS's Dynasty, Netflix's Insatiable, The Conjuring 3, and more. Anthony's first time in Newnan was on the set of Watchmen. In 2020, he was given the chance to work as the Adult Event programmer at the Newnan Carnegie Library. After working there for two years, he applied and was given the opportunity to serve as the Communications Coordinator for the City of Newnan in 2022. Anthony enjoys running, watching and collecting movies, cooking, reading stageplays by Irish playwrights, and spending time with his spouse.
