Newnan Police Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and quickly secured the scene and began gathering information.
Newnan Police Detectives also arrived on the scene within minutes and began the investigation. It was learned that a male offender passed a note indicating he was robbing the bank and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Thanks to exceptional teamwork within Newnan PD and assisting agencies (Lagrange PD, Coweta County Sheriff, Roanoke PD), we were able to quickly get this person off the streets. A thank you also goes out to surrounding businesses who allowed Detectives rapid access to surveillance footage, enabling them to give out an accurate lookout.
