The Newnan Police Department today provided support to the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies in attempting to apprehend Omar Maurice Rosser, Jr., 19, who was charged with the March 13 homicide of Bryant Elder, 19, in Luthersville, Georgia. After a standoff at a residence on McIntosh Parkway, Mr. Rosser died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
