On January 21, 2024 at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Newnan Police Department was dispatched for a report of “shots fired” to the area of 54 Greenview Drive. Officers quickly secured the crime scene and were able to determine that no one at the residence was injured. The NPD Crime Scene Unit and detectives determined four (4) houses, two (2) cars and a mailbox were struck by the bullets fired in the course of the incident.
Detectives were able to develop two suspects and a description of the suspects’ vehicle. The two suspects were taken into custody the evening of January 21 on Berry Avenue by the Criminal Investigations Unit. The NPD Gang/VICE unit apprehended anther suspect in Fulton County.
Nosym Douglas-Jerome Ferguson (20) and Ellis Mack Buford (20) are in custody for four (4) counts of Aggravated Assault. Additional charges are pending as this is an active investigation. Dontrez Alandis Adams has also been arrested in connection to this investigation and is currently charged with Possession of Marijuana. While the investigation is ongoing, we believe all suspects have been apprehended.
