The Newnan Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is led by Lt. Chris Robinson. CID consists of 4 detective sergeants and 6 detectives. They handle everything from misdemeanors to felonies. The detectives are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CID also has a full-time evidence technician/detective who assists with investigations.  

Evidence & Property Retrieval Guidelines:

Retrievals are available by appointment only. Please schedule an appointment on the Newnan PD Evidence Retrieval Portal.

Retrieval hours: 

Tuesday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Required: 

• Personal identification
• Newnan Police Department case number/case disposition.
• Proof of property ownership
