2026 Programs
Adaptive Community Engagement & Sports (ACES)
We offer adaptive opportunities for differently-abled persons over the age of 18. In partnership with organizations serving those who have mild to severe intellectual and/or physical disabilities or diagnosed developed disabilities, we offer sports throughout the calendar year, including: Basketball, Wiffleball, Swimming, Pickleball and Kickball. New addition of Adaptive Theatre in 2026! Activities take place at Lynch Park Facilities, House of Pickleball and the Wadsworth Auditorium.
Basketball – Wesley St Gym – February 25 & March 11
Wiffleball - Pickett Field - April 8, 22 & May 6
Swimming - Lynch Park Pool - June 10, 24 & July 8, 22
Pickleball - Newnan Pickleball Complex - August 11, 25 & September 8
Kickball - Pickett Field - October 14, 28 & November 11
Theatre - March 25, May 27, September 23 & December 2

Movies at the Wadsworth
Join us for Free Movies at The Wadsworth! Throughout the year, the Wadsworth Auditorium will be showing a variety of movies for all to enjoy. Leisure Services and the Carnegie Library will also partner to create an engaging event by providing crafts/activities for select showings! A few features will include downtown Newnan businesses for added fun! See below for current movie lineup and check back often for any updates:

Fitness in the Parks
This fitness series returns with a goal to improve your fitness journey!
We look forward to the return of Yoga on the Green with Instructor Misty Caples! This class is tailored to accommodate beginners, intermediate practitioners, and advanced yogis alike. Each pose will include options to make it easier or more challenging, ensuring a safe and personalized experience. Join us for a free class at Greenville Street Park every Wednesday, April/May and September/October, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. Be sure to bring your mat/towel and water to engage in a rejuvenating experience!

Fun Fridays
Meet us in the parks for Fun Fridays on the second Friday of April, May, September and October, 4-7PM! Enjoy a vibrant, family friendly atmosphere with each event having a different theme, with food trucks and more available. This year’s locations will be selected by you!
The survey will close on February 28, with locations to be announced in March! Schedule is as follows:

Ducks on the Loose!
Join the community on a hunt across City of Newnan parks and facilities for the elusive ducks! Each event, clues are given as to the last known location of either a Lucky Duck, Dog Duck or Gnome Duck. Once the duck is returned back to the Leisure Services offices you’ll be rewarded with a fun prize!
Lucky Ducks - March 16 through 20 (one duck per day)
Dog Ducks of Summer - June/July (one duck per week)
Bring Home the Gnome - December 14-18 (one duck per day)
