Tracy Dunnavant, AICP, has served as the Planning and Zoning Director for the City of Newnan, Georgia since 2005.  Prior to her work with the City of Newnan, Dunnavant served as Community Development Director for the City of Carrollton, Georgia and as Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Villa Rica, Georgia.  Dunnavant received her Master of Public Administration degree from Western Kentucky University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Kentucky Wesleyan College.  She also served as the Secretary of the Board of the Georgia Chapter of the American Planning Association for 14 years.  One of the projects that she is most proud of is her work managing the renovation of the Carnegie Library building in downtown Newnan.

Dunnavant comes from a military family, but has always called Kentucky her home.  She has been married to Jim for 26 years and has two adult children, three grandchildren and one super sweet tuxedo cat.  Dunnavant enjoys traveling, going to sporting events and occasionally playing pickleball.
