Meg Kelsey was born and raised in Newnan. In January of 2024, Ms. Kelsey joined the Newnan staff as an Assistant Manager to concentrate on Human Resources and Financial Management. Ms. Kelsey began her professional career in local government over 27 years ago with the City of LaGrange serving in various roles that specifically focused on Community Development, Human Resources and Finance. Meg Kelsey is a graduate of Georgia College, with a degree in Political Science and Public Administration. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Georgia. Ms. Kelsey is actively involved as a Trustee on the Georgia Municipal Employee Benefit System (GMEBS) Board, where she has served for the last 15 years. Meg has been married to her husband, Brant for 25 years and they have one daughter, Ruthie. Meg enjoys reading, tennis and walking in her spare time.
