Bradley Thompson is a Captain with the Newnan Police Department. He currently runs the patrol and traffic division along with the communication department. He began his career with the Newnan Police Department in February of 2000 starting out as a patrol officer. Prior to working with the Newnan Police Department, he worked in the grocery store business and at the age of 18 began his career in law enforcement with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Department as a detention officer. He's currently enrolled at Columbus State University in the professional management program and looks to graduate out of the program in July of 2023. 

He was born and raised in Newnan and has been married to his wonderful wife for 28 years now. They have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his grandchildren working in the yard or garden, and hanging out by the pool. They also enjoy hunting and fishing and taking trips to the Georgia mountains when they can.
