On August 25, 2023, at approximately 2:20 PM, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Units assisted by Newnan Police Department Patrol Units were involved in a vehicle pursuit. 

Due to the immediate threat of life to civilians and law enforcement personnel, CCSO Deputies used deadly force at the conclusion of the chase. GBI has been called in to investigate this incident.
